This table runner was started months ago. Finally! It is finished. I really love how it turned out and I love that it is mine! I finished it last night while sitting and talking with three other crafty women in my local starbucks. A woman in our Mothers Club started a monthly "Stitch and Bitch". I think it will be a great way to meet other women who like to create/sew/knit/quilt and it gives me time once a month to finish a project. I had fun meeting everyone and look forward to next month. Only thing for me not being a knitter is that I need to have something small to sew on. Luckily I had this table runner finished except for the binding. So, I brought it last night and chatted and sewed and finished!
I started this table runner because I wanted to try my hand at free motion quilting. Also, I love these fabrics and wanted to make something for myself that I could see every day.
I had fun making these loops and it really wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.
While I was making this Kathy came out with her Anna Banana pattern and I had to buy it. Who knows, maybe there will be more table runners in my near future. I will definitely make her adorable place card holders. Kathy also has some great instructions in the pattern for doing free motion quilting. I can't wait to get started, but for now I'm working on Christmas presents!
