Johnnie was really in to Halloween this year. He wore his pirate costume all day yesterday. We practiced trick-or-treating at home because he is often shy about talking to people he doesn't know. But once he figured out there was candy involved it was all about "twit o tweet". We went downtown to trick or treat at the shops and he had a great time. His bag was overflowing with candy. The funny thing is that he didn't ask to eat any of it. It was all about "getting" the candy and even today he still never asked about it. He is already talking about what he is going to be for Halloween "next time".
I can't believe November is here and Christmas will be here before we know it. I've got to get busy on making gifts. We are going to England for two weeks during Christmas and so I've got a lot of preparing to do. Is anyone else totally excited about Sew Mama Sew's "30 days of Gifts to Sew"? It's going to be a productive November.
What are you making this year? I've started a few gifts and have been scouring my magazines for inspiration. Thanks so much for the Sew Mama Sew link.

What a great pirate costume! Nice photo of the pumpkins too. I wonder if I should participate in the sew mama sew thing. Heck, I've already signed up to do Nablopomo. We'll see! Thanks for the link!

I love all things pirate and I'd wear my costume all day, too, if I had one. Next year I really must think about making a pirate costume--who cares I'm an old lady, I can be a pirate if I want.
Yep, the holiday pressure is starting and I'm trying to be calm but my heart is beating a little faster just thinking about it. I'm thrilled and grateful for all the ideas, tutorials, etc. everyone is sharing--it truly is helpful.

Awww, that's a great photo.
You're going to England for two weeks at Christmas? May I ask why? Did I mention my fiance is British and I lived over there last year? tell me more.
