A fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon...craft shopping! Craftaluma was put on by the
Petaluma Craft Mafia.

Beautiful dolls by Plain Baby Jane. I loved all the goodies at this booth, I picked up a couple of cute pocket gnomes for baby gifts.

I bought a string of these fabric origami birds to hang in Johnnie's bedroom. They are made by MsCraftpants, check out her Etsy store to see more of her stunning work.

Super cute robots by My Imaginary Boyfriend (isn't this a great name?).

Oooh and these knitted baby hats (she makes blankets, bibs and adorable dolls too) by oishii are so super soft and perfect for little ones. Check out her Etsy shop for more details.

fairy birthday gift

We have had the week of birthdays here, lots of celebrations and lots of crafting frantically trying to keep up with all the gifts. This is a present for our friend Estella who is turning 4 and her party is Saturday.

I made some kool-aid dyed playsilks a few weeks back and now I've got some in my stash for gifts. We included a yellow and a purple tied with some bakers twine.

This canvas bag was in the $1 section at Target. I bought a few of these to keep around for quick gifts.

weekend fun

We had a nice weekend and enjoyed some cooler weather today after a big heat wave last week. We hit 104 degrees here on Thursday.

 Our new guitar arrived at our doorstep on Friday.

 Downtown for tacos on Saturday night.

I had some time to do some uninterrupted sewing today. I made a couple of pillowcases for kids birthdays coming up this week. Played with these new Heather Ross fabrics I just got for the next quilt. These fabrics are so soft and I love all the sweet little designs.

I am making a Turning Twenty quilt and needed 12 fat quarters. It's hard to find fat quarters online and with needing to buy 12 of them I didn't want to purchase 1/2 yards of each. I found On Board Fabrics when doing a google search for Heather Ross fat quarters and they have a big selection of the Heather Ross line and offer fat quarters of any of their fabric. My order arrived quickly and I can't wait to get started with this quilt.
I am trying to hold off on making a new quilt until my log cabin quilt is officially finished--I need to add some borders still and of course, quilt it and bind it. Hoping to get it on its way this week.

Sending this a day late. We have limited cell service here. Here is
johnnie getting ready to do a little fishing. See the skinned knee, he
took a tumble at burney falls. We come home tomorrow -- this week went
