My 89 year old neighbor has been a dear friend of mine since we bought our home 8 years ago. She's been telling me for a while that she has some fabric for me. She used to sew years ago and has a stash somewhere in her basement. The other day she said she found some fabric for me in a drawer and then she pulled out this.
I just about fell over when I saw it. Can you believe it? I absolutely love this fabric. There are probably about 2 or so yards cut in to several pieces.
This is 8 half yards I purchased from Fabric Worm on Etsy. I am planning to make a quilt for my niece with these.
Dia de los Muertos fabrics purchased from my local quilt shop.
Hurray for cute "boy-ish" fabrics I found at Keepsake Quilting. I love this new Merryville print by Michael Miller's Tot-Town collection. Isn't it too cute?
I'm planning to make Johnnie a quilt for his bed featuring a big chunk of this fabric in the center.
My friend Emily and I visited Fabrix today in San Francisco. I had never been there before, it's all discounted fabrics. They have lots of velvets, silks, wools, knits, not too much 100% cotton. I did find this Alexander Henry print for $3.99/yard and a heavy denim for $2.39/yard.
I think all this new fabric is enough to keep me busy for a little while.
